Rupert Grint and Georgia Goorme Welcome Their Second Daughter

Rupert Grint is now a doubled-up girl dad. The Harry Potter actor welcomed his second child with longtime partner Georgia Groome on Sunday, revealing their newborn baby girl, who they named Goldie.

Grint announced the happy news on an Instagram post on April 27, featuring a photo of Goldie wearing a gray cardigan over a white onesie with her name embroidered in gold. "‘Secret Child Slightly Revealed’ Introducing Goldie G. Grint. A 10/10 baby (so far)," Grint captioned his post. The actor took the time to thank Dr. Alex Digesu, an obstetrician and gynecologist at St. Mary's Hospital in London, for her hard work in keeping Groome and their second child safe during the process.

Groome, best known for her role as Georgia Nicolson in Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, has been partnered up with Grint since 2011, and the two have famously kept their relationship private. Marriage rumors began circulating in 2019 after the couple was spotted wearing matching gold rings, but a spokesperson for Grint denied those rumors at the time, quickly shutting them down.

They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Wednesday G. Grint, in May 2020 during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Servant actor introduced their daughter in November 2020 with a special Instagram post, writing, "Hey Instagram... only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert."

The exciting news comes just in time for the family of four, as the Harry Potter star was asked to pay an additional $2.3 million in taxes in late 2024. According to reporting from the Associated Press, the 36-year-old actor lost his legal battle against U.K. tax authorities after the ruling found that he had "wrongly classed 4.5 million pounds in residuals from the movies."
