There's a new menswear brand to keep an eye out for.

While Sanderlak is technically for anyone to wear, the new mark certainly has a focus rooted in men's clothing. The namesake label is by none other than Sander Lak, the designer who founded Sies Marjan in 2016 and served as the creative director. His latest fashion venture remains in the world of luxury but with a fresh spin.

The debut collection takes notes from Los Angeles, which is especially evident in its bright color palette spanning rich yellows, sherbet pinks, and baby blues. Lak revealed in a press release, “There’s something about the light in LA that always gets me. It’s soft yet harsh and dry, and it settles over everything in this quiet way.”

The Sanderlak label will continue to be distinctly shaped by themes of global identity, inspired by Lak's own upbringing. The designer was born in Brunei but spent years living in Malaysia, Scotland, and Gabon, a Central African country. Choosing a specific place allows for a metaphorical anchor for each collection will bring it back to a center point while also allowing for complex exploration and reflection.

Following an education at ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands and a master’s degree at Central Saint Martens in London, Lak worked with Philip Lim and Balmain in his early career. Later, he spent five years at Dries Van Noten based in Antwerp before launching Sies Marjan. His career has been defined by his use of color and material, and that journey continues today with his new label and vision that will compound with his ongoing exploration of design.

The debut collection will be available for viewing during Men's Paris Fashion Week via private appointments during the Spring/Summer 2026 season.
