Self Leveling around Toilet, cut out existing flange and raise or do extension kit after self level?

Hey guys I'm redoing the flooring in the powder room and laundry room The laundry room itself is very out of level as much as half inch in some areas and it seems The powder room is also similarly out of level I've cut out the subfloor around the toilet that was rotted out and replacing it I've just realized once I replace the subfloor the toilet flange will be resting on the new subfloor but it will have self level of about 1/2 in around it.. Should I cut out the existing flange and set a new flange after self leveling to be above the new floor height or would you just slap an extension kit to it? submitted by /u/mikealphaxray [link] [comments]
