Self Levelling Compound?

Hey! I am doing a kitchen renovation to a house we recently bought, I plan to cover the existing tiles with vinyl flooring as taking them up isn’t an option because the previous owner has grouted them to asbestos tiles that are adhered to the concrete subfloor. So I can’t just crack on with the SDS to rip them up. Under the cabinets are still the old asbestos tiles which we need to bring up to level of the existing floor as we need to put our washing machine over where there is a lip which isn’t great. So my question is, would you say that self levelling compound is the right product for the job? Or is there a more appropriate thing? Such as sharp sand/cement mix. It’s my first time doing something like this, so please ELI5! Any help is greatly appreciated! Cheers Alaric I’ve attached pictures to show what I mean. submitted by /u/Alaric6000 [link] [comments]
