After multiple teases, Sentinels has officially announced its entry into the Marvel Rivals esports scene.

“It’s time for the Sentinels era. We’re officially announcing our participation in Marvel Rivals esports,” Sentinels tweeted

Sentinels, one of the most popular organisations in the VALORANT competitive scene, boasts multiple trophies under its belt. Their VALORANT roster has also qualified for the first VCT international event of the year, Masters Bangkok.

But the organisation is looking to bring the same fighting spirit to new scenes.

Rob Moore, CEO of Sentinels, and Michael “shroud” Grzesiek had previously revealed that they were in discussions to potentially put together a Marvel Rivals team. On the final day of his charity stream, shroud even encouraged teams and players to reach out if they were interested in joining.

“To any esports team that has reached out to us in the past week because I know you guys have been hearing talks about an org, at this point, it is happening,” said shroud. “Send emails, send messages, whatever you got. We will respond. Let’s try to make this thing happen. Let’s start up a Marvel Rivals team.”

One of the earliest teasers from Sentinels hinted that an official reveal was just around the corner, stating, “Marveling at how many rivals we’ve got.”

Earlier this week, the organisation further fueled speculation by sharing a collage featuring Captain America’s shield, Iron Man’s Arc Reactor, and Spider-Man’s suit—all featuring the Sentinels logo.

Sentinels has yet to reveal the roster, but an official announcement can be expected in the coming weeks. It also remains unclear whether shroud’s collaboration with Sentinels went through after the FPS streamer mentioned wanting to have an active role in the team.

Apart from Sentinels, Virtus.pro has also announced its Marvel Rivals roster. With Marvel Rivals Championship Season 1 set to begin soon from March 8th, both teams might make their debut in the event.
