Shed Style Roof Beams
I have access to 4x4x20 lumber, reclaimed from pallets built to ship steel. Each piece looks like it was milled from the center cuts of trunks or limbs. They are in good condition and appear to be similar to utility grade but better quality. I am considering planing two in order to glue and clamp together, essentially building a 4x6 DIY glulam, to use as long beams for a 16x12 shed roof with polycarbonate overhangs up to 4', so not a ton of weight. Good idea or bad? submitted by /u/tlydendada [link] [comments]
