Should this area be caulked?
Hello. I have an outside window well you can see the basement through that window. Should this area be caulked? I see cement then a small gap that's filled with sand and then a wood frame before the window. Should I caulk that space? It looks like it was caulked to the right at some point. Is this some space that lets water drain? I would imagine that the water works just drain up against the foundation. This area has a patio around it which is covered.
