Shower Valve and Water Flow

Hi all! I am remodeling my shower and had a question regarding water flow and the sizing of pipes. The shower valve I am getting (Moen M-Core Transfer 1/2 cold expansion) is a 1/2” PEX-A intake, this 1/2 intake is a 1/2 feed directly off the 3/4” main supply in the house. My question is, would I see any/all improvement if after the mixing valve, I increase the size back to 3/4” going to the shower head etc. the plan is to have 3 outputs, that being the shower head, handheld, and rainfall. My thought is that the limiting factor regardless is the 1/2” mixing valve, thus upsizing wouldn’t make much of a difference, however I saw some other posts that state it may help. All help appreciated! submitted by /u/NullisNotNothing [link] [comments]
