The Sony WF-1000XM5 are usually $299.99, but right now you can pick up a pair from Amazon for $179.99. This is the lowest we’ve ever seen for these earbuds, and they’re a fantastic option for everyday wear thanks to a number of features that set them apart from the competition: lengthy battery life, excellent sound quality, superb noise cancellation effect, and a comfortable fit. While they don’t include any gaming-specific features, I often prefer the XM5’s to my over-ear gaming headset when I need to drown out the noise from the construction outside my office window (the noise cancellation is that good).
You may already own a solid pair of noise-canceling earbuds, but if you’re in the market for a replacement or upgrade, the WF-1000XM5 earbuds from Sony are still one of the best models you can buy. The XM5s offer excellent sound quality while tuning out unwanted noise.
However, if you’d prefer a pair of earbuds with more gamer-centric features, the Sony Inzone Buds are also on sale at Amazon for $178 (was $198). While the Inzone Buds lack multipoint Bluetooth connectivity and wireless charging, they’re equipped with similar sound quality and noise cancellation features when compared to the XM5 earbuds and can be paired with devices using the 2.4 Ghz wireless dongle for reduced audio latency.
