Star Wars brings back Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane in Tales from the Underworld

The Star Wars Tales anthology series is back for another installment, this time focusing on the criminal underworld of a galaxy far far away. On Wednesday, Disney released the first trailer for the six-episode season, titled Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld.

While the trailer is light on specific plot beats, we do know that the episodes will follow two fan-favorite characters: former assassin Asajj Ventress, who seems to be one perilous mission away from turning over a new leaf, and bounty hunter Cad Bane, who runs into an old friend who’s now on the other side of the law. It seems the entirety of Tales of the Underworld will be focused on Ventress and Bane, but thankfully their storylines already look pretty incredible based on the trailer.

All six episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will debut on Disney Plus on May 4, better known as Star Wars Day. The series is created and executive produced by Dave Filoni, and will bring back Nika Futterman as Asajj Ventress and Corey Burton as Cad Bane, both of whom voiced the characters in Filoni’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.
