Stripping wallpaper - do i need to also get all these white bits off preskim?
Stripping some 40 year old wallpaper, the plan is to get it all off so that a plasterer can reskim and then I'll just paint it. After taking off two layers theres these patches of white stuff, some scrape off easy, most dont. I assume its paste. Will I need to clean all that off completely before the plasterer can do his job? Iknow I need to take off all that brown annoying stuff, I'm halfway through this area. I want to be cautious because in a couple areas what looks like the paper surface of the wall looks like it would come away if I scrape any more. I should of taken a pic of that but I've come to work now, maybe add one later if anyone wants to see it. Just wanted some advice because after this walls done I've still got the ceiling and thats just going to be such a pain I might run out of swearwords. submitted by /u/Rgeneb1 [link] [comments]
