Stuck screw, have tried everything

I’m trying to do a DIY dryer repair, and I can’t get past this screw. I need to remove it and it’s extremely stuck. I have tried: Multiple sizes and heads of manual screwdrivers and driver bits. Hitting screwdriver with a hammer. Putting a rubber band, duct tape and abrasive cleaning powder on the screw (when it was less stripped than this). WD40 and PB Blaster. Trying to turn the screw from front and back with multiple different locking pliers. Speed Out screw extractor. Nothing works, I can’t budge it. My remaining idea is to drill into it and just completely destroy it to get it out. Is that a bad idea? Is there anything else I can try? (I don’t have a rotary tool to cut a new slot into the screw head.) I don’t understand how this screw is so immovable. Am I missing something? submitted by /u/qumapode [link] [comments]
