The HP Omen Max 16 is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, which boasts a max turbo frequency of 5.4GHz with 24 cores and 40MB total L2 cache. According to Passmark, this is the fastest laptop processor on the market, with a healthy 7% lead over the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D.
According to Tom's Hardware, the RTX 5080 mobile GPU is roughly 15%-20% more powerful than the RTX 4080 mobile GPU that it replaces. It also happens to be about 5% more powerful than the RTX 4090, which was the previous generation's flagship card. The RTX 5080 appears to be a better value than the much pricier RTX 5090 as well.
