The Massive 77" Sony Bravia 8 4K OLED Google TV Is on Sale at Amazon: Perfect for PlayStation 5

If you're willing to splurge on a higher end TV and you like Sony, here's a deal that's right up your alley. Amazon is currently offering a massive 77" Sony Bravia 8 4K OLED Google TV for $2,095 shipped. That's the best price we've seen for this recent 2024 model and an excellent option for streaming 4K HDR movies and playing games in 4K at up to 120fps on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X gaming console.

77" Sony Bravia 8 4K OLED Google TV for $2,095

The Sony Bravia 8 is a 2024 release that replaces the A80. It uses a W-OLED panel so image quality is comparable to the Samsung S85C/D/F and LG B4/B3 models. Since this is a true OLED panel, the Sony Bravia 8 boasts near instantaneous response time, near infinite contrast ratio, and true blacks. It's superior to any other panel type in nearly every scenario except for one: super bright rooms with no light control (OLEDs aren't as bright as Mini LED or LED LCD TVs). The Bravia 8 supports HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision video formats and Dolby Atmos and DTS audio.

The Bravia 8 uses "Acoustic Surface Audio" technology, which essentially places the speakers right behind the screen, thus removing any unncessary bezel space and giving the impression that the sound is coming directly from the video itself. It's also better than your average TV speakers and you'll probably have to pay at least a few hundred dollars to get a better discrete sound system.

OLED technology aside, the A75L has all the features you'd want in a gaming TV. It has a true 120Hz panel and two HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K at 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X gaming console. It features a near instantaneous response time and supports variable refresh rate (VRR) including G-SYNC and auto low latency mode (ALLM). Despite this being a Sony TV, it pairs equally well with an Xbox console.

Sony OLED TVs use Google TV as its smart interface. Google TV is intuitive to use and supports voice commands through Google Assistant. You can also pair it with an Android phone to use as a remote.
