At New York Fashion Week, Tory Burch brought her Fall/Winter 2025 collection to the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The designer adds her signature touch to reimagined and reinterpreted American sportswear classics in the latest reveal. She relies on a color palette of brown hues, like rich chocolate and mocha for the exaggerated silhouettes and details of the designs.
The new flair on these classic designs was inspired by "twisted American sportswear," leading her to add unorthodox detailing and to pair unconventional pieces together. From layered pieces and shoulder pads to blazers and sweater vests, the designer goes for a softer approach to dressing that doesn't negate empowerment for Fall/Winter 2025. The brand embraces the oversized silhouette in the new collection. On the runway, quarter-zip-ups were paired with blocked track pants, sweater vests were layered on top of oversized striped shirts and complemented with flared pants, and jackets and button-ups were embellished with puffed sleeves and cuffs.
She also played with patterns that resembled animal prints and textures. Tailored wool coats were combined with wool and jersey skirts and the designs also featured a cardigan with a dark brown pattern with touches of white and caramel to create the animal print effect.
A-list celebrities got an up-close look at Burch's attention to detail from the front row. Martha Stewart, Ciara, Amanda Seyfried, Jodie-Turner Smith, Alexandra Daddario, and Paige Lorenze were all in attendance and applauded the brand's vision for the autumnal season.
