Dior's New Mascara Promises Your Fullest Lashes Yet

Dior has been a favorite among beauty afficionados lately for its lip oils, which went viral years ago and helped kickstart the lip oil trend that's taken over beauty in recent years. Its makeup latest product, however, is in another category: meet its new Diorshow Overvolume Mascara.

The eye-enhancing product launched mid-April and quickly became popular among shoppers thanks to its formula, made for 24-hour wear, and its brush. Among its ingredients is D-Panthenol, which is a pro-vitamin of B5 often used in beauty products to promote hydration in skin as well as softness and shine in haircare. The Diorshow Overvolume Mascara brush complements the high-powered formula with its petal-shaped bristles that help bring out more volume in lashes. Bristles at the tip help separate lashes or add any fine line retouches. It's only available in one color: a deep black hue.

The new mascara retails for $33 and is available to shop online at Dior's website, in addition to other beauty retailers like Ulta, Macy's, Sephora, and more.

It's already a hit among celebrities, including at this year's Met Gala, where guests got dressed in their finest, tailored clothes to celebrate the theme on Black dandyism. Guests of the French fashion house opted to use the new mascara for their big night. Anna Sawai—who famously twinned with Zendaya that night—rocked Diorshow Overvolume Monday night, with her makeup done by Yukari Obayashi Bush. Jenna Ortega, who wore a Balmain gown of rules by Olivier Rousteing, sported a more vampy makeup look by Mélanie Inglessis using the new Dior product.

On the skincare front, Dior launched new products early May including new $84 undereye patches, covered in the brand's monogram; a foaming cleanser; and its multi-use balm in limited-edition packaging.
