What is the Marvel Rivals roadmap?

Season 1 recently started in Marvel Rivals, and the developers at NetEase Games have offered a bit more of what to expect from the game as it continues to add new characters, maps, and modes.

In this Marvel Rivals guide, we’ll explain what we know about the Marvel Rivals roadmap as of season 1.

Marvel Rivals roadmap as of season 1

NetEase Games released season 1 for Marvel Rivals on Friday, Jan. 10, adding two new characters (Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic), two new maps (Sanctum Sanctorum and Midtown), one new mode (Doom Match), and a bunch of cosmetics available via the season 1 battle pass.

That said, the season is broken into two parts — with more characters and maps coming during a midseason update.

The second half of season 1, formally called season 1.5, will begin on Friday, Feb. 21. Two new characters (Human Torch and The Thing) plus one new map (Central Park) will be available.

While season 0 lasted about a month, season 1 is scheduled to run for about three months — an in-game countdown pegs the end of season 1 on April 11, 2025, at which point season 2 will presumably begin. NetEase Games has said that season 1 has “double the playable content of a regular season.” It stands to reason, then, that future seasons will see the release of two new characters alongside one or two new maps.
