Where to buy DIY wood lamp post
I’m trying to cheaply make 3 lamp posts along my driveway. I already have the lamps and it seems impossible to find a good piece of 4x4 wood with the hole drilled down the center, so ultimately I’m buying a 4ft long drill bit and will set up a jig to get an 8ft hole drilling at both ends - and side holes for wires as necessary So, is pressure treated 4x4 the way to go? Is there a more premium wood that can be secured in the ground and painted I should be looking for? Long term I plan more decorative vinyl but short term I need simple and likely just painted my house color.
