Where to find Charcoal in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
One of the first steps in any survival-based game usually involves Charcoal in some shape or form. At least, that's the case with RuneScape: Dragonwilds. We're here to show you how to make it, how to use it, and why it's essential to your journey. How to get Charcoal in RuneScape: Dragonwilds You can make Charcoal by using wood in the Kiln, which unlocks after you acquire Clay. If you have not found this resource, go to the Whispering Swamp to mine some Clay deposits. It's pretty hard to see there, so you may want to bring a torch. You can also find Bittercap Mushrooms here, too, so be on the lookout for this unique item. Once you've farmed enough Clay, you should see a notification regarding the Kiln and other recipes. You can make a Kiln with the following materials: 8 Ash Logs 20 Stone 6 Clay 10 Fire Rune As for the rest of the resources, the only one you may come into trouble with is Fire Runes. I've mostly discovered them when looting chests and opening goblin sacks. However, you may be able to craft it at the Rune Altar. If you have any spare Fire Runes, I highly recommend using them to fend off RuneScape: Dragonwilds' many enemies, especially when you're on the hunt for the Kiln's Clay. Fire Runes act as a fiery ammo type for your weapon, including an enchantment that applies burning to those who stand in your way. With all the materials ready, place the Kiln in an open space. This is one of the requirements of the build, as it cannot be used in your shelter. Now, it's time to make Charcoal by placing wood inside the Kiln. Screenshot by Destructoid How to use Charcoal in RuneScape: Dragonwilds Charcoal is a solid step up as a fuel source—efficient, reliable, and surprisingly long-lasting. From my own experience, it does seem to heat things up a bit faster than regular wood, though the speed boost is pretty minimal. Still, when it comes to cooking, one piece of Charcoal goes a long way. It's perfect for grilling up multiple meals without burning through your stash. Screenshot by Destructoid Like many resources in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Charcoal can help with multiple recipes, either as a reliable fuel source or a key ingredient in various builds. However, I noticed that Charcoal didn't immediately unlock any new recipes for me once I had it. It could be that I just haven't found the right ingredients to pair with it yet, meaning there could be more builds to uncover over time.
