Why Do Jonathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson Keep Kissing?

Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey have been on a press run for the Jurassic World Rebirth movie coming out early July, and the two co-stars have been makng headlines and redefining red carpet chemistry... one kiss at a time.

The first kiss happened at the London premiere on June 16, where fans were surprised (and delighted) to see the pair exchange a brief but buzzy kiss on the lips. Now, just a week later, the two actors have done it again, and this time, they smooched on the red carpet in New York City, where the cast gathered on June 23 for the U.S. premiere of the summer blockbuster.

The Marvel alum, 40, and the Bridgerton breakout, 37, were all smiles alongside co-stars Mahershala Ali and Rupert Friend, but it was their quick peck that had cameras flashing and social media going crazy. It left fans wondering: Isn't Johansson married? Are they just very close friends? According to Bailey, the answer is yes. It’s all love, just not necessarily the romantic kind. 

"I believe in being able to show love in all different ways,” he told Entertainment Tonight, explaining the kisses. “And if you can't kiss your friends... life's too short not to."

Bailey is openly gay, and Johansson is in a public relationship with Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost, but who says friends can't smooch every now and then? The unexpected PDA between Johansson and Bailey has added an extra dose of charm to the already highly anticipated film. Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters July 2, and fans are already hooked on the real-life chemistry between its stars.
