6ft Wide x 2ft 4" Deep Recessed Office Nook - Need Ideas for Portable Drawer/Shelf Solution
I have a recessed area in my office, exactly 6 feet wide and 2 feet 4 inches deep, that was clearly designed for a built-in bookshelf. Unfortunately, there's an outlet located within the recess, which makes a permanent, enclosed bookshelf impossible without some electrical work (not out of the question). I'd like something with a combination of drawers (maybe wall-to-wall or two separate sets) and shelves. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation, especially with these dimensions? Any suggestions for modular drawer systems, shelf designs, or creative ways to work around that pesky outlet? Photos of similar setups would be awesome! I'm open to DIY or store-bought options.
