Heat deflector material for canopy soffit that looks decent?
I am planning on building an outdoor steel-roofed canopy for my patio area that will protect an outdoor kitchen area from the elements. Since this area will contain barbecue grills, the canopy framing will need to be made entirely of fireproof materials, so I am specifying steel framing trusses and steel roofing panels. The issue is, looking at the underside of metal roofing panels is kinda not the vibe I am going for, and would prefer a warmer, wood-like finish to the soffit. But of course it would need to be a fireproof material. The only thing I can really think of that could be installed on the underside of a roof soffit like this is fiber cement boards/panels. That's an OK options but curious if anyone had any bright ideas? submitted by /u/madmax_br5 [link] [comments]
