Following the end of the first international First Stand tournament, the League of Legends (LoL) Championship Pacific is resuming action later this month.

Here is everything you need to know about the LCP Mid Season, the second split of the season running from April 19th until June 8th.

The eight participating teams will compete for the $80,000 (~£61,823.6) prize pool and the qualification spots at the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational in Vancouver, Canada, as well as the Esports World Cup League of Legends tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

LCP Mid Season Format

The LCP Mid Season will have a traditional format split between the regular season and playoffs. In the first phase, the eight teams will play a single round-robin of best-of-three matches featuring Fearless Draft, following the extension of the format for the rest of the season. Each series will have a 1v1 competition to determine side selection.

Once the round robin ends, the top six teams will head to the double-elimination bracket. The first two rounds will have best-of-three matches while the following series will all be best-of-five. The two finalists will face off on June 8th to determine the Mid Season champions.

LCP Mid Season Teams

The LCP Mid Season Split will feature the same guest and partner teams from the first split:

  • CTBC Flying Oyster (Partner)
  • Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS (Partner)
  • GAM Esports (Partner)
  • TALON (Partner)
  • Chiefs Esports Club (Guest)
  • DetonatioN FocusMe (Guest)
  • Secret Whales (Guest)
  • Vikings Esports (Guest)

CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) and TALON Esports are expected to be the two front runners following their dominant performance in Split 1. In particular, CFO gained valuable experience at First Stand, coming close to beating LEC champions Karmine Corp at the event.

That duo are likely going to be followed by the two Vietnamese teams, GAM Esports and Secret Whales. In particular, the former is hoping to improve its result after gaining experience at international events over the past years.

Unfortunately, the gap between the top four and the bottom four was quite consistent in the first split, and it’s not looking like it will shrink anytime during this split.

How to Watch the LCP Mid Season

The LCP will kick off on April 19th, with official broadcasts available in English on Twitch and YouTube, as well as Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Thai.

The starting time on each match day has been moved 30 minutes earlier compared to the first split at 17:30 CST (9:30 GMT). The first week will have two key matches: the PCS battle between CFO and TALON and the Vietnamese matchup between Secret Whales and GAM.

Riot Games also announced the opening of the LCP Arena for the LCP Mid Season, which will allow fans to watch the games live. More details will be announced at a later date.
