Adding angled wall/ door for pantry
We removed a perpendicular wall that connects to the original wall. This wall formed a door to a corner pantry. We took the wall out when installing flooring. My first question is what is this floating wall called as I've been trying to search on google? (Floor to Ceiling) I would like to reinstall framing for this before deciding the door situation with the fridge not being counter depth, which we will just deal with before reselling. We may leave this an open pantry without the door but would still like the wall on the right side of the fridge. This is about 22 inches for the straight piece of wood on the ceiling running parallel with the fridge. In order to install this framing, do I need to remove some of the flooring that runs parallel to the back wall or can it be done on top of the flooring? What would this framing look like and do any of you have resources on how to put this in? Drywall is the easy part for me. https://preview.redd.it/vvh9h2hhbrke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83bac69dcc29557680fd3b8cbcaa0bf7184e2434 https://preview.redd.it/xlw3ezcjbrke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab192e4bdd5634efb7fba76183626e9c6183a1a8 https://preview.redd.it/iqna2o0kbrke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6b214f15af528ac19e5edf1b0e4a6d6f3699662 https://preview.redd.it/blfepjlkbrke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c91f333f8a1d60741d3219b989de4a1b5ae0264 https://preview.redd.it/20k8pw6lbrke1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a44d033de920c3afbe4db50bd2de92bd04718b93 submitted by /u/ryancoots1 [link] [comments]
