Assassin’s Creed Shadows has an oddly hilarious and slightly horrifying dog-petting bug

Assassin's Creed Shadows had a surprisingly smooth release, considering the history of Assassin's Creed releases. For a game series that had some nightmare-fuel glitches, like characters in AC Unity losing their entire face and making eyes float into the air, the glitches that we're seeing in Shadows' early days, just a few hours after release, are just okay to deal with. It's nothing that breaks the game, which is proven by players rating the game positively as well as critics giving it an average 8/10, showing that whatever issues that are happening aren't really disturbing the gameplay. There's one glitch, though, that has been found by several Assassin's Creed Shadows players, and it's actually quite funny and a bit scary if you look too closely into it. Petting the dog in AC Shadows makes the dog stand up and freeze A player shared a video of them petting a dog in AC Shadows at night, and as they approach the dog, the dog simply stands in a T-pose and keeps standing while the player pets the air, almost as if they are channeling something between their hands instead of actually petting the dog. https://www.reddit.com/r/AssassinsCreedShadows/comments/1jgeqcy/ah_yes_horror_beyond_my_comprehension/ So while Naomi thinks there is a dog there, the dog is standing still, frozen in mid-air next to her while his spirit is being pet in front of her. This glitch is harmless because this is not a fight scene and this doesn't break anything in the game, so it's just funny that this interaction can happen. But it's also likely that if it gains too much attention, Ubisoft will soon patch it because, of course, it kills some of the immersion of the game. Still, the game has been topping sales charts and getting positive player reviews, despite some toxic players having some oddly weird behavior towards streamers, just because they don't like some of the choices Ubisoft made with the game. However, nothing like this seems to be disturbing the community that much, and the game keeps featured in Steam's top seller list and beating the releases of other Assassin's Creed games that were on Steam before.
