Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is heading to Canada for the first time and will be the second international League of Legends event of the year.

The top two teams from each regional league will fly to Vancouver, British Columbia, to battle for an additional Worlds slot for the top two performing regions and to secure one for themselves.

Riot recently revealed the venue for MSI 2025, the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. It has a massive 90,000 square feet of exhibition space.

Stated Riot: “The Pacific Coliseum has a history of hosting world-class events, including the 2010 Olympic Games’ Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating competitions and the 2017 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Finals.”

MSI 2025 Tournament Structure

MSI 2025 is set to begin on June 27th, with the champion getting crowned on July 12th and will feature a massive $2 Million (~£1,546,130) prize pool.

The event will kick off with the Play-in Stage following a GSL format, leading into a double-elimination Playoff Stage. The first seed from each of the five regions will receive a direct bye to the Bracket Stage, along with the runner-up from LCK as the region won the First Stand.

The rest of the teams will go through the Play-ins, with the top two advancing to join the six already-qualified teams in the Playoffs to compete for the MSI 2025 trophy. Every match in the event will be a best-of-five series and will use Fearless Draft.
