Basement dehumidifying question

I have a ~800 sqft basement with two main rooms separated by a crawlspace/closet. Right now I have two dehumidifiers running in each room with hoses running through the drywall to the sump pit in the crawlspace area. Each dehumidifier is rated for ~1800 sqft (overkill, i know). I'm wondering if I put just one dehumidifier in the crawlspace area and then cut out vents in the drywall that separate the rooms, will that be enough to dehumidfy each room? Do I need to add some fans in the walls to help circulate the air, maybe having them turn on when the humidity hits +50% or something? I'd like to avoid running two dehumidifiers at all times but just having one in the main room wasn't affecting the other room's humidity level. Thanks for any guidance! submitted by /u/Exotic-Credit-2241 [link] [comments]
