built a hidden drawer in my kitchen wall
I wanted to add more storage to my cramped apartment kitchen without making it look messy so I decided to turn a dead section of wall behind the fridge into a secret drawer. I measured the space between two studs, cut out the drywall, and built a drawer box using 12mm plywood with full-extension slides. To keep it hidden, I painted a false panel to match the kitchen wall and added a push-to-open latch no handle, no visible clues. It took me about 6 hours and cost under $40. So far no one in the house has noticed it and I’ve been secretly using it to stash snacks and spices. If anyone’s interested in the details or progress pics, let me know happy to share! submitted by /u/geekoffilms [link] [comments]
