Ceiling fan installation
Hello! We are trying to take down the builder grade “boob light” and install a ceiling fan. When we took the light down we noticed the electrical box in the ceiling has been drywalled over (this was a model home so it’s all builder grade). This may be a dumb question but how do we know that this box is secure enough for a ceiling fan when we can’t even see the box? Do we chip away the drywall in the middle?
