Burberry’s Latest Campaign Embraces the Spirit of London and Romance

Love is in the air—and also in the rain. In Burberry’s latest campaign, "It’s Always Burberry Weather: London in Love," summer showers serve as the unexpected yet quintessentially British backdrop to a series of romantic vignettes. Starring an ensemble of Hollywood and fashion royalty, including Kate Winslet, Naomi Campbell, and Nicholas Hoult, the campaign is a cinematic love letter to London, romance, and the timeless trench coat that binds them all together.

The campaign draws inspiration from beloved British rom-coms of the '90s and 2000s, weaving together narratives of fleeting moments, passionate embraces, and the electric unpredictability of love. A hero film shot by Benoit Delhomm, supported by six short vignettes, showcases different tales of romance set against London’s most iconic locations, with the ever-present Burberry trench serving as both a literal and symbolic layer of protection. Drew Vickers lensed the alluring photos.

The label's signature trench was created by Thomas Burberry in 1879, and the gabardine trench has since been a staple in British wardrobes, offering a lightweight yet protective shield against the country’s famously unpredictable weather. For the spring 2025 season, the house honors its legacy by reinterpreting the trench coat in fresh and expressive ways. From its classic gabardine to airy silk renditions, cropped iterations, and contemporary cutouts details, Burberry presents a wardrobe that is both adaptable and deeply rooted in tradition.

Beyond the screen, the label brings its vision to life through immersive activations. In-store displays and installations celebrate the trench’s enduring appeal, inviting shoppers to experience the collection in an interactive setting. The Heritage Collection, featuring classic trench and car coats woven at Burberry’s historic mill in Keighley, Yorkshire, is at the core of this celebration, reinforcing the house’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.

By celebrating both the unexpected beauty of summer rain and the enduring romance of British fashion in the new campaign, Burberry proves once more that some things—love, London, and the perfect trench coat—never go out of style.
