Global esports organisation Gen.G has announced the launch of a public gaming venue based in Seoul, South Korea.

The Gen.G Gaming Xperience (GGX) grand opening is scheduled for June 21st, 2025. According to Gen.G, this is the first-ever PC café run by an esports organisation.

Known by many within the esports sector, Gen.G has developed a devoted fanbase over the years in large part due to its accolades in games like League of Legends. In a release, the organisation claims that GGX will provide a ‘high-performance gaming zone’, complete with ‘lifestyle experiences across food, merchandise, community and coaching’.

GGX spans over 1,570 square meters and features 252 gaming stations equipped with high-tier specs worth $3300 (~£2574). These include NVIDIA RTX 5070 GPUs, LG UltraGear monitors, Logitech gaming peripherals and Gen.G x SIDIZ custom-designed gaming chairs.

The space was developed by Gen.G in collaboration with its partners Otoki, Monster Energy and SIDIZ. The space also works with Gen.G Academy to offer coaching programmes for all skill levels led by former pro players.

Steve Lee, Head of Partnerships at Gen.G, commented: “GGX goes beyond just gaming – it’s a cultural hub where fans, players, and brands come together to create meaningful experiences. Through spaces like this and continued innovation, Gen.G aims to lead the sustainable growth of the esports industry.”

Gen.G Gaming Xperience Activities

The venue itself includes various activities that visitors can enjoy. The ‘OTOKI G.ROUND’ is a food and beverage lounge by Otoki and there is a photo spot featuring Gen.G’s mascot, GenRang. There is also a merchandise store selling Gen.G uniforms and GGX limited items, plus a community lounge that can hold over 100 people.

GGX itself will be managed by Superplay, an IP management company within the esports scene that has managed other gaming spaces such as the T1 Basecamp in Hongdae, and Genshin PC Lounge.

Junghyun Kim, CEO of Superplay, shared: “After months of development with the Gen.G team, we’re proud to finally unveil GGX. We hope it becomes a must-visit destination for gaming and esports fans from Korea and around the world.”
