The new qualification year for Delta Air Lines SkyMiles elite status kicked off earlier this month, and the Atlanta-based carrier is offering up its latest way for Medallion members to show off their status.
This week, TPG got a sneak peek of the airline’s latest Medallion bag tags, which are available for every SkyMiles elite member to customize.
There’s a different-colored tag for each Medallion status tier, from Silver all the way up to Diamond. Delta is also offering red tags for Million Miler flyers.
All about the clubs: Delta announces 8 new or expanded lounges in 2025, including fourth premium facility
Travelers who are both a Million Miler and a Medallion member can get a million-mile decal imprinted on their luggage tag.
How to get a Delta Medallion bag tag
To order and customize your tag, you’ll want to visit deltamedalliontags.com, where you’ll get a prompt to enter your SkyMiles log-in information.
Eventful start to 2025
These tokens for SkyMiles elite members come amid an eventful start to the year for Delta and its loyalty program.
The carrier held a massive spectacle of an event in January at the Sphere in Las Vegas, laying out a slew of changes coming to the airline (including some that customers will see in 2025), from Bluetooth-capable seatback screens to an onboard partnership with YouTube and a tie-up with Uber that’ll allow Delta members to earn SkyMiles on rides and mobile food deliveries.
On the other hand, February also brought new Sky Club restrictions for members who get access via an American Express card.
Did you miss out on getting a Medallion luggage tag in 2025? Delta’s cobranded Amex cards offer an inside track to SkyMiles elite status. And, right now, some come with hefty welcome bonuses of 100,000 miles or more for new applicants (terms apply) — potentially offering a jump start on that next redemption and elite status in the new qualification year.
