Get $75 in Uber credits when you sign up for Clear

Clear remains an effective way to expedite the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint experience at airports. Plus, when you sign up, you might be eligible for a free membership and extra perks.

As of February, new Clear members can receive $75 in Uber credits. We last saw this promotion in September 2022.

To take advantage of the offer, sign up for Clear using the promo code “VDAY25.” After signing up, complete the process at a Clear enrollment center; no appointment is necessary. You just need to bring a government-issued ID to finish enrolling.

Although a Clear Plus membership costs $199 annually, several credit cards will cover the cost of Clear membership, including select cards like:

• The Platinum Card® from American Express
• The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
• The Centurion Card from American Express
• American Express® Green Card
• Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card

Occasionally, American Express will target cardmembers with Amex Offers covering the cost of Clear, so be sure to look out for limited-time offers. Clear will reimburse eligible cardmembers with a statement credit. Enrollment is required via the benefits page on the American Express website.

Bottom line

New members who sign up for Clear with the code “VDAY25” receive a $75 Uber voucher after enrollment via email. Uber Vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance. Previous Clear members who let their membership expire should also be eligible.

After enrolling online and completing the process at an airport, you can use Clear to speed through security at select airports and events.

Clear is only available to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents 18 and older with a valid government-issued photo ID. However, minors traveling with an adult who is a Clear member can go through the Clear lane with the member.

College students can use a discounted student Clear rate of $60 per year for up to four years.

Clear also offers family plans that include up to three additional adults on a primary membership for $119 per additional person, per year.
