Desk makeover ideas?
I have this older IKEA desk and I'm so bored by it. Black laminate top and metal legs/frame. I'd rather DIY a change then sell it and replace it for the sake of waste/money, but am so stuck on what to do. I would like to paint it but since it's not real wood I don't know how much sanding I can actually do (also not a very experienced painter). Swapping the legs for real wood ones crossed my mine but I don't think the hardware on the desk will allow for it as it's not agnostic to non-IKEA screws. Thought about finding a wood top (like in photo 5) but idk how to go about that since I don't have a sander/cutter. Any DIY ideas, any at all?
