Does anyone know anything about compressors?

I've had a big compressor for a spraygun for a few years and it's been a fantastic investment. Unfortunately of late it's been taking longer to get upto pressure. When I turn it on and starts pressurising the tank it sounds like there's a leak I just can't seem to find and it just takes ages for it to get upto a certain pressure when the leak just seems to stop and it can get to maximum pressure no problem. I worry that this is putting undue strain on the compressor and obviously and unidentified leak is far from ideal. Has anyone had a similar issue or knows where I should be looking? Is this something I noob could fix? With a spare part or does it just need stripping and cleaning? I'd look for a local repair guy but I'm not sure there's many compressor repairs left anymore. submitted by /u/BuggerItThatWillDo [link] [comments]
