The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), esports tournament organiser BLAST, and esports publication The Esports Radar have announced the Global Esports Industry Week 2025.

The inaugural edition of the esports business event will take place in Austin, Texas, from June 18th to 22nd, 2025.

According to a release, the event will feature ‘executive-level forums, summits, and experiential gatherings and socials’ taking place throughout the week. The inaugural Global Esports Industry Week will run alongside Counter-Strike’s BLAST.tv Austin Major.

The event aims to provide stakeholders with a platform ‘to set collective priorities and chart sustainable growth’ as the esports industry continues to grow across the world.

“The global esports ecosystem has reached a tipping point where sustainable growth depends on collective action,” said Stephen Hanna, CEO of ESIC.

“Global Esports Industry Week 2025 is our answer to that need – a neutral space where publishers, tournament operators, teams, investors, regulators, and technology can leave day-to-day business at the door and focus on the bigger picture.”

In recent years, sustainability within the esports industry has become a focal point for several stakeholders looking to ensure long-term stability.

Highlights of the event include the ESIC Global Esports Summit, a panel discussing integrity and the welfare of players, and the International Games and Esports Tribunal, which will showcase new gaming and esports dispute-resolution framework.

How Important is Sustainability in Esports?

Ensuring sustainability is maintained within the esports industry is integral to ensure long-term growth over the next decade. With tournament organisers providing huge amounts of money for tournament prize pools and other incentives, steady growth across the industry is key to its survival.

The creation of the Global Esports Industry Week enables stakeholders to collaborate to ensure esports is a viable option for existing businesses and for those looking to embark on new projects.

The launch of the B2B esports business event also coincides with the creation of The Insights Group. Co-founded by former Esports Insider Managing Director and Founder Sam Cooke in 2025, The Insights Group is a media and events business that is the parent company of The Esports Radar and invite-only event brand Esports Leaders.
