The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced that the Saudi Telecom Company (stc Group) has returned as a partner for the 2025 edition of the Esports World Cup.
The company will return as an Elite and Founding Partner of the multi-title esports event taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Stc Group will provide the Esports World Cup Foundation’s event with the infrastructure to ensure a stable connection is maintained throughout the entire event, in addition to those in attendance.
Alongside providing infrastructure, the telecommunications company will also become a broadcast partner and will stream all tournaments on stc.tv, stc Group’s dedicated streaming platform.
“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with stc Group, reflecting a shared commitment to setting new standards for live esports events,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO of the EWCF.
“Through continued investment in connectivity, content, and fan engagement, stc plays a vital role in delivering a seamless experience for players and fans of the EWC, and in shaping the future of digital entertainment in the Kingdom and beyond.”
The Esports World Cup is no stranger to collaborating with stc Group. The two parties first joined forces in June 2024 ahead of the inaugural edition of the tournament.
Elsewhere, the Esports World Cup has continued attracting new partners ahead of its 2025 event. Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo became a Global Ambassador of the tournament with the aim of bridging the gap between traditional sport and competitive gaming
Stc Group’s Growing Esports Presence
Following the Middle East’s expanding presence within esports, stc Group has continued to embark on various initiatives within Saudi Arabia. In July 2024, it partnered with Gen.G to launch Esports Certification Courses for residents looking to pursue a career in esports.
In 2023, it entered a one-year deal with the Saudi Esports Federation to support a range of events it organised and operated.
