Fixing my landlord special as a newbie
This is my first time doing anything like this so sorry if I sound a little naive!! My apartment complex “reno’d” the place before I moved in, AKA thickly spray painted everything and installed cheap stuff very cheaply. I listed these problems in my move-in report and they didn’t do anything, so now I’m doing it myself because it’s driving me crazy! Most of it I’ve been able to figure out with Google searches, but there are 3 things left that I need human advice for: These gaps in the wood on the kitchen cabinetry. Little bits of wood have been falling out and it’s really gross. Is it safe to caulk/fill it? This gap at the base of my sliding door. What is this white stuff and how do I fix it? (caulk it?) These cabinets in the bathroom do not fully close because they are just slightly too big. Can I sand down these edges a bit (I’m already planning to repaint anyway), or should I try moving the hinges? Or something else? Again, I’m a total newbie to this stuff so any advice is greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/msmith199755 [link] [comments]
