How to make a sliding screen door
Anyone have an easy way to turn a large aluminum frame window screen into a sliding "door" that is mounted on the face of a wall? I have a screen porch with no door. The opening for the door is not square, and it's an unusual size. However, I have a window screen that is the perfect size for the opening and I want to mount it somehow on a track that will allow the screen to slide in front of the opening, and be pushed to the side rather than swing open. This doesn't have to be a long term or super durable solution. It does have to attach along the bottom as well as the top so it's stable. There is a magnetic screen door thing in place to keep bugs out, and this sliding part is just to keep the cat on the porch. Creative solutions welcome! Thank you! submitted by /u/cherrybaboon [link] [comments]
