Furring rafters with 2x4
I am looking for advice on how to attach 2x4’s to the existing rafters. We are finishing the second floor of our cape cod and energy code requires insulation much thicker than would fit between the 2x6 rafters. A portion of these furred rafters will be dry walled to become the angled portion of the ceiling.
