German esports organisation CGN Esports has announced its entry into League of Legends‘ Prime League, a EMEA Regional League (ERL) for the DACH region.
To enter the competition, the organisation has teamed up with popular streamer and competitive player Muhammad ‘Agurin’ Kocak to take over the Prime League slot of his team, Dung Dynasty.
It’s important to note that the Dung Dynasty roster, currently participating in the Prime League, will continue to compete under CGN Esports. Notably, this includes Agurin, who is the team’s starting Jungler.
This marks CGN Esports‘ first foray into the competitive League of Legends scene, bringing the organisation’s total number of esports rosters to four.
Alongside League of Legends, CGN Esports fields rosters in Fortnite, VALORANT, and Super Smash Bros. The organisation is also home to three content creators.
“Teaming up with CGN is a fantastic opportunity,” said Agurin. “It’s not just about the competition, it’s about creating a space for fans to truly connect with us, whether through gameplay or content.”
According to a release, the two parties ‘are united by a shared vision to combine top-tier competition with creator-driven content’. Moreover, fans of the organisation ‘can look forward to entertainment, fun, and best-case top performance’.
The content-focused philosophy within the esports industry has proven successful for many organisations operating within the DACH region.
The likes of No Need Orga and Eintracht Spandau have adopted strategies where the focus on content creation and fan engagement has resulted in building a fan base supporting the organisation when it competes in regional and international esports events.
