Help request - trim suggestions for a doorframe with an angle
Hello all- I have a door frame that is just about 3/8ths of an inch taller on one side than the other (see Fig 1). I am trying to figure out what is the best way to trim the top of the door without modifying the door frame. I see two main options: trim to level (Fig 2), or rip cut the trim on an angle to follow the drop from left to right (Fig 3). In both cases, the top of the trim will be abutting flush against a piece of wood (brown bar in images). Would one of those be the better approach? Or is there some other suggestion that I'm not thinking of? Thanks in advance for your insights! submitted by /u/thelukec [link] [comments]
