Do I need a guardrail for small open section on stairs?
SoCal here. Recently redid my stairs. The old stairs had a guard rail that left a small inaccessible space in between the wall and the stars on the left hand side. After removing it we were able to fit these two wardrobes that fit much more of our stuff and having a guardrail would make it really hard to access. Do I need a guardrail over this area? Can I have a railing on the right have side for that portion and then railing on the left side the rest of the way up? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/romrick4 [link] [comments]
