Chalk paint removal
How do I best deal with this chalk paint on my kitchen wall? It is roughly 4 feet x 4 feet. I want to just repaint the whole wall off white as I plan on selling my condo. The chalk paint is fairly thick and is slightly raised compared to the rest of the wall. Should I.... A. Sand down the surface until the raised edges are flush with the wall and then just paint over the whole thing? B. Sand it all the way down to the drywall. Essentially removing all of the paint and then patching and painting the wall? I don't love this option because I don't want paint dust all over my living room. C. Use a heat gun to soften the chalk paint and then scrape is away? Will this leave the wall really damaged and require a lot of patching? D. Some kind of chemical paint remover? Any help with this project is appreciated. submitted by /u/Sammy4fingers [link] [comments]
