HELP! Shiplap Painting Questions
I’m a new homeowner eager on the DIY train, and this weekend I painted approximately 100 square feet of primed shiplap using a roller with 3/8” nap. Now that the paint has dried, it’s retained a bit of an orange rind texture I’m not fond of. I’m realizing now I should have used a 1/4” nap, but not sure what my options are from here given that the paint has dried. So my questions are: 1.) Can I simply paint over the orange-peel texture with the 1/4” nap to smooth it out? 2.) If no to #1, is my only option to sand all of the boards down? 3.) More generally, is 1/4” nap a poor choice for painting large areas (e.g., 100 square feet)? submitted by /u/CochleaMilkman [link] [comments]
