Remember in January when TikTok was actually successfully banned... albeit very briefly? Well, it never fully came back. The app has technically still been under a provisional return as the current administration tries moving ownership to American hands. Even if nobody was talking about it online, the new ban date is fast approaching, previously set to June 19.

Yes, the app was supposed to banned again on June 19.

Trump signed an extension in April for 75 days, which would have ostensibly meant that the app would be banned as of June 19. However, the new extension that he will reportedly sign will provide a 90-day extension.

When Is the New TikTok Ban?

Based on the new ban Trump said he plans to sign, the new date would take effect September 17. This ban would not take effect if the Chinese owner sells or seriously divests from the video sharing app.
