Jalen Brunson quickly blossomed into an All-Star after joining the New York Knicks and is expected to achieve his second All-NBA honor for his 26 points per game this season. Nike Basketball has celebrated his ascent by not only featuring him in campaigns like the NYC-themed Nike Dunk High “Wu-Tang” lookbook from last year, but by having him debut new Nike Kobe PEs as well. He's recently worn a Kobe 5 Protro “Year of the Mamba” PE at the NBA All-Star Game, as well as a Kobe 4 Protro "The Nattys" PE in honor of his alma mater, Villanova.Last night, Brunson helped lead the Knicks to a home win over Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns, sporting a new Nike Kobe 5 Protro "The Joke's On You" PE. Inspired by the Joker, this special colorway recreates his iconic color palette of purple, neon green, gray, and red, with subtle red splatters present across the shoe.Jalen Brunson made it clear in his Instagram post embedded below that this is a PE, indicating that it is not currently planned to be hitting shelves anytime soon.
