LEGO Fortnite players beg to spend money, but Epic still won’t bring back this one item

A portion of the LEGO Fortnite community is surprisingly eager to spend more money in this free-to-play game—but Epic Games isn’t giving them the chance. The frustration stems from the Feb. 21 Fortnite update, whose patch notes were revealed on Feb. 20. Instead of bringing back the items players have been asking for, the update focuses on bug fixes for network errors and quest issues, along with small quality-of-life changes like the ability to rename villages and barn animals in Odyssey. Apparently, that’s not enough for many players. These bundles are rare now. Image via LEGO. Fortnite Players want LEGO Kits to return to Odyssey Many LEGO Fortnite players had the same reaction to the v34.00 patch notes thread, which Epic posted on Reddit. Instead of discussing the update, they ignored the minor changes and simply replied, "Put sets in the item shop." Some players openly expressed frustration, "Your community is begging you to let us spend money on your game." Another one commented, "why can’t you listen to your player base?" https://www.reddit.com/r/LEGOfortnite/comments/1iu3c81/lego_fortnite_v3400_update_notes/ Others began tracking how long it’s been since new LEGO Kits appeared in the Item Shop, reaching 41 days on Feb. 18. "Epic hasn't really given us ANY information as to why the kits arent available in the shop 24/7," another one wrote. The "sets" or "kits" players are referring to are cosmetic items that allow users to build unique structures, parts, and decorations in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. These kits are purchased with V-Bucks, similar to Battle Pass-exclusive themed items like the Raven-inspired set. Epic has sold LEGO Kits in the Shop before, but they are now rarely available. The last new LEGO Kit released was a Halloween-themed build set on Oct. 12, 2024, according to Fortnite.gg. Since then, no new kits have launched, and the last time any kits were available for purchase was Jan. 8, when the Farmer’s Favorite decor set appeared in the Shop. With no explanation from Epic, frustrated fans are left waiting and wondering when—or if—LEGO Kits will return.
