Loro Piana Taps Dimoremilano for a Cinematic Take on Interior Design
For Milan Design Week 2025, Italian luxury house Loro Piana joins forces with Dimoremilano for the first time to unveil La Prima Notte di Quiete, an immersive installation that blurs the line between cinematic fantasy and interior design. The experience begins in a retro-style cinema lobby, wrapped in deep red velvet, leopard-print carpet and brass accents. This nostalgic setting sets the tone for a journey through a home inspired by 1970s and ’80s interiors. Each room - bedroom, dining area, bathroom, garden and more - is softly lit to reveal a balance of vintage charm and modern sophistication.Every element is meticulously curated. Antique artworks sit beside contemporary pieces by Dimoremilano, all upholstered in Loro Piana Interiors fabrics. Natural materials like cashmere, wool, velvet and sisal set a soothing, sensory-rich tone throughout the space. The furniture collection introduces striking new pieces, including the sculptural Valsesia dining table, Quarona poufs and gallery-style Locarno cabinets. Other highlights, such as the Varallo bed and Trivero armchairs, combine comfort with understated luxury. Dimoremilano’s iconic Snooker and Corner sofas also make an appearance, reinterpreted in Loro Piana’s most refined textiles.Sound design by Nicola Guiducci heightens the immersive effect, layering subtle ambient notes - piano keys, rainfall, a ringing phone - into the atmosphere. The result is a cinematic world that feels intimate, lived-in and quietly poetic.La Prima Notte di Quiete is open to the public until April 13.
