NetEase has revealed details for what fans can expect from Marvel Rivals Ignite, the third-person hero shooter’s biggest tournament yet.
It all begins with the Stage 1 Open Qualifiers beginning later this May, sharing details surrounding schedule, registration, guidelines and more.
Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 1 Open Qualifiers Schedule
An online announcement has revealed the dates of the upcoming Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 1 Open Qualifiers. The tournament will take place in five regions: Mainland China, the Americas, EMEA, Asia and Oceania.
There will be two splits; the first split runs from May 15th-25th, 2025, and the second split will follow from May 26th-June 1st, 2025. Each split will be divided into two sections, beginning with an Open Qualifier, then the top 32 teams will advance to the single-elimination bracket.
The single-elimination stage of the two splits in Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 1 Open Qualifier will run from May 23rd-25th, 2025, and from May 30th-June 1st, 2025
How to Take Part
According to the blog post online, there are several ways players and esports organisations can take part in Marvel Rivals Ignite. The top four teams from both Marvel Rivals Championship Season 1, and the Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025, in all regions will be given an invite.
Eight additional slots will be up for grabs in the Stage 1 Open Qualifiers. Split one registration runs from May 15th-21st, and Split two registrations will be available from May 26th-28th, 2025. According to the post, a more detailed schedule will be announced soon.
Here is a step-by-step guide to signing up for the Open Qualifiers:
- Log in to Marvel Rivals on a PC platform.
- Go to the Marvel Rivals Clash tab under tournaments in the main menu.
- When signing up, ensure you are part of a faction, and select the group for registration.
- Submit application.
Sign-ups can be made through the in-game Marvel Rivals Clash tab on PC platforms, with the guidelines confirming that Marvel Rivals Ignite will be a PC exclusive tournament. All members of a squad must have reached Grand Master 3 or above in Season 2: Hellfire Gala.
